Whites’ Water Fountain

Despite the end of the U.S. Civil War and the prohibition of slavery, the infamous “separate but equal” Jim Crow laws perpetuated the long history of American racial discrimination. The force of this history remains insidiously strong today, but imagine it was Whites who were forced to ride at the back of the bus, banned from the lunch counter, and made to drink from inferior Whites’ Water Fountains.
